OET has created two generic mailboxes for submittal of inquiries to the Laboratory on Equipment Authorization issues: one is for administrative issues; the other is for technical issues.
I. easadmin@fcc.gov - This mailbox should be used to submit: 1) requests for dismissals; 2) fee payment problems/questions; 3) transfer in control of grantee questions; and 4) all application filing problems/questions.
II. eastech@fcc.gov - This mailbox should be used to submit equipment authorization technical questions.
Inquiries related to equipment authorization rules and/or policy interpretations should be submitted at the OET Laboratory Web based Knowledge Database (KDB) inquiry system at www.fcc.gov/labhelp.
Speed of Service (SOS) for the period 2/01/2009 - 2/28/2009: 50% were processed within 36 calendar days; 90% were processed within 63 calendar days. The total number of applications pending at the FCC Laboratory at the end of the period was 65. Speed of Service is defined as the time from date of electronic filing to final action, minus the time during which additional information is requested of the applicant. If an application is submitted on a weekend or a holiday, the receipt date is the next business day.
Questions regarding Telephone Terminal Equipment (TTE) requirements and equipment authorization should be directed to the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) at www.part68.org.
