Ultraviolet detection

Author: ssample
What is available that can measure UV waves? Where does a teacher look to
acquire such equipment? I have not seen any devices to acquire measurements
of UV.

UV emission / absorption can be measured by various spectrophotometers that
are in common use in analytical chemistry laboratories. The instruments are
fairly expensive to buy and maintain, which is the main reason most high
school teachers do not have them lying around the lab. But if the teacher
were to ask around nicely at a local community college or university, it might
be possible to use one for a special project.
