Initial Calibration of High Resolution Digital Camera for Accelerator Alignment

Abstract:

The use of high-resolution digital photogrammetry for alignment of accelerator components is very promising, both in terms of accuracy and efficiency. As an initial assessment, the determination of reliable camera calibration parameters is crucial. Based on a series of surveys of an "in-house" calibration structure, the first results for the Kodak DCS 460m digital camera are discussed.
