3 Appendix A: Table A.4 Appendix A: Table A.4 is comprised of 4 tables that show comparative granulometric and statistical measures for sediments from Lithostratigraphic Unit 1, Unit 2, and Modern Beach Sediment. Table a, the Lithostratigraphic Unit 1 table, is comprised of 8 columns and 10 rows. From left to right the column headers read Location, Depth (cm), Stratum, Lab #, Mean (mm), Spec. Area (m 2 - divided by g), Uniformity, and Span. The 10 rows are comprised of varying information detailing Lithostratigraphic Unit 1 granulometric and statistical data, corresponding to the column headers listed above. Table b, the Lithostratigraphic Unit 2 table, is comprised of 8 columns and 14 rows. From left to right the column headers read Location, Depth (cm), Stratum, Lab #, Mean (mm), Spec. Area (m 2 - divided by g), Uniformity, and Span. The 14 rows are comprised of varying information detailing Lithostratigraphic Unit 2 granulometric and statistical data, corresponding to the above column headers. Table c, a second Lithostratigraphic Unit 2 table, is comprised of 8 columns and 10 rows. From left to right the column headers read Location, Depth (cm), Stratum, Lab #, Mean (mm), Spec. Area (m 2 - divided by g), Uniformity, and Span. The 10 rows are comprised of varying information detailing the Lithostratigraphic Unit 2 granulometric and statistical data, corresponding to the above column headers. Table d, the Modern Beach sediment table, is comprised of 8 columns and 9 rows. From left to right the column headers read Location, Depth (cm), Stratum, Lab #, Mean (mm), Spec. Area (m 2 - divided by g), Uniformity, and Span. The 9 rows are comprised of varying information detailing the Modern Beach sediment granulometric and statistical data, corresponding to the above column headers. The significance of Appendix A: Table A.4 is to detail comparative granulometric data from Lithostratigraphic Unit 1, Lithostratigraphic Unit 2 and Modern Beach sediments; It also provides summary statistics of Minimum, Maximum, Mean, Median, Standard Deviation, Variance, and Coefficient of Variance for the data in columns Mean, Spec. Area, Uniformity, and Span. For a more detailed discussion of the table and the granulometric study refer back to the text. Use "back" button to return to table.
