From: b2garrison@netscape.net Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 9:24 PM To: rule-comments@sec.gov Subject: S7-19-03 Finally someone has proposed to attack the "good ole boy network". I am sick and tired of never having a choice when it comes to electing the directors of the companies of whom I am supposedly an owner. It has become an opportunity for a few thousand people to feather their own nests while my stocks languish. I have my own set of standards: 1. I will not vote for anyone who has served on the board for 10 years. 2. I will not vote for anyone who sits on more than 2 other coporate boards, or a total of 5 boards including non-profits. 3. I will not vote for anyone who is over 75, or will turn 75 during the term. These simple rules give me a bit of satisfaction by voting against the board, however there is no chance of my protest vote ever making a difference. Please move forward with the rules allowing for investor nominated candidates to be included on the offical corporate ballot and give the small guys a chance of gaining some control over these self-serving corporate boards. Thank you for support this rule change. Bill Garrison Collierville, TN __________________________________________________________________ Introducing the New Netscape Internet Service.
