Fill out the application form completely. To order large quantities of forms, send written requests, via courier, to BIS's Export Management and Compliance Division, 14th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. NW., Room 2705, Washington, DC 20230; or telephone (202) 482-3332. - Include complete technical information about the item(s) on your application.  To determine the status of your application, call STELA (System for Tracking Export License Applications) on (202) 482-2752, using the Application Control Number printed on the application form. Obtain and become familiar with the Export Administration Act of 1979 as amended in 1981, 1985, 1988, and 2000.  Subscribe to and study the Export Administration Regulations. Failure to comply with the Regulations can result in adverse publicity, loss of export privileges, fines, and imprisonment. Or better yet, subscribe to the electronic version of the Regulations, that are updated automatically for you.
