	Ladies and Gentlemen:

	In February of this year I sent out a survey by e-mail asking a
series of questions about bicyling on Ft. Detrick.  You were among the 450
people who completed the survey.   You also entered your name and phone
number expressing an interest in serving on a bicyle advocacy group.

	I would like to convene a meeting of all of us who signed up to
serve as bicycle advocates to identify things we can do to increase
awareness of bicyling and to improve the conditions for bicyling on, and
around Fort Detrick. 

	The meeting will be at the NCI Cafe on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 from
8:30 to 10:00 am.  Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.  The
tentative agenda is below.

	8:30 - 8:45   	Social time - a chance to get to know other cyclists

	8:45 - 8:50	Opening Remarks, COL James Greenwood, Deputy
Installation Cdr

	8:50 - 9:45	-  Summary of bike survey results
			-  Mission Statement
			-  Charter development 
			-  Rides (Wednesday evening, lunchtime)
			-  Summary of Bike path funding request
			-  Brainstorming - Actions this group can do to
promote cycling
	
	9:45		Meeting summary 
			Set time, date and agenda for next meeting.

	10:00		Adjourn
