Peer Analysis System/Dataset Cutting Tool

With the Peer Analysis System (PAS) you can compare an institution of your choice to a group of peer institutions. To download large datasets within the PAS, you will need to use the Dataset Cutting Tool (DCT).

Creating Comparison Groups

Input a list of institution names or UnitID numbers. Upload a saved list of institutions. Create a comparison group based on IPEDS variables (for example, "enrollment over 10,000 students"). Use "Auto Peer Group" to have the system automatically select a comparison group.

Comparison Variables

Select from existing variables or calculate new variables based on existing data.

Reporting

Download variables into spreadsheets or databases. Download a ranked listing of institutions based on variables selected. Produce a statistical summary report for the selected variables. Generate packaged reports for your institution of choice and the comparison institutions.

Dataset Cutting Tool

The DCT allows you to: Download large datasets for analysis and comparisons. Obtain complete data files and codes. Create customized datasets according to specifications.
