Subsurface Environment Technology serves as Sandia's business focus for a broad and integrated set of lab capabilities, research activities, and application projects that are based on expanding our understanding and use of the earth's subsurface. This business focus synergistically brings together into a more coherent whole, research in the geosciences, environmental cleanup technology, waste disposal in underground geologic formations, work to address subsurface energy/water supply and infrastructure concerns, and underground national security topics. This allows Sandia National Laboratories to more effectively address our customers' needs in these related areas. We use a virtual organization, called the "Subsurface Environment Affinity Group" to coordinate and better perform work within this business focus.

We welcome you to our web page and encourage you to contact any member of our affinity group team for more information. Thank you for your interest, we look forward to meeting your needs.
