Kara Sea (70E-95E):

Kara South: Analyzed area using DMSP\OLS imagery 104.2327Z. Remainder of anal was
estimated using a combination of climatology, meteorology, and persistence.
Summary (Kara South): DMSP\OLS 60%, Estimated 40%

Kara North: Analyzed area using DMSP\OLS imagery 104.2327Z. Remainder of anal was
estimated using a combination of climatology, meteorology, and persistence.
Summary (Kara North): DMSP\OLS 40%, Estimated 60% 

Barents Sea (0-70E):

Barents North: The following images were used for analysis. OLS 103.1234, 102.1045, 104.1401
103.1556.Remainder of anal was estimated using a combination of SSMI/Quikscat,climatology, 
meteorology, and persistence.
Summary: 75% OLS 25% estimated

Barents South: The following images were used for analysis. OLS 103.0740, 103.1234 and
103.1556.Remainder of anal was estimated using a combination of SSMI/Quikscat,climatology, 
meteorology, and persistence.

Summary: 100% OLS

Baltic Sea: Area north of 62N and between 21E and 28E analyzed
using OLS image 02105.0851Z.  Remaider area estimated through
thin cloud cover, along with use of the Swedish ice analysis
from 14 April 2003and SSM/I from 14 April 2003.
Summary:  50% DMSP OLS, 50% estimated.

White Sea: The following images were used for analysis. OLs 102.0755 and 105.0851.Remainder 
of anal was estimated using a combination of SSMI/Quikscat,climatology, meteorology, and 
persistence.


Canadian Archipelago (80W-95W): Entire anal analyzed using DMSP OLS imagery from 103.1648,
and AVHRR imagery from 104.1911.
Summary: 60% DMSP OLS, 40% AVHRR

Baffin Bay/Davis Strait: Baffin Bay with the exception of the Lincoln Sea area analyzed
using DMSP OLS imagery from 104.1244, and 103.1648. Northern portion of Davis Strait
analyzed using DMSP OLS imagery from 103.2010. Southern portion of Davis Strait and
Cumberland/Frobrisher Bay analyzed using AVHRR imagery from 102.2100. Remainder of
anal estimated using Quickscat/SSMI from 13 Apr, meteorology, climatology and persistence.
Summary: 60% DMSP OLS, 15% AVHRR, 25% Estimated

Labrador Sea: Entire area analyzed using AVHRR imagery from 104.1812, 102.2100, and 100.1941.
Summary: 100% AVHRR 

Gulf of St. Lawrence: Entire area analyzed using AVHRR from 03104.1715Z. and
03105.1447Z.
Summary:  AVHRR 100%.

Grand Banks of Newfoundland: Entire area analyzed using AVHRR from 11 Apr 2003.
Summary:  AVHRR 100%.

Hudson Bay: Majority of the area was analyzed using AVHRR from 03102.1555Z and
03103.1907Z.  Rest of anal was estimated using a combination of climatology, 
meteorology and persistence.
Summary: AVHRR 70% estimated 30%.

Foxe Basin: Most of the area was able to be analyzed using DMSP OLS from 03105.1345Z,
AVHRR 03102.1555Z, 03105.1037Z, and 03106.1026Z.  Rest of anal estimated using
a combination of climatology, meteorology, and persistence.
Summary: DMSP OLS 30%, AVHRR 60%, estimated 10%.

Greenland South:  Between 64N and 67N, area anlyzed using RADARSAT 03104.0855Z.
Remainder estimated using SSM/I from 15 Apr 2003.
Summary: RADARSAT:  40%    ESTIMATED:  60%

Greenland Central: East of 10W estimated through thin cloud cover from OLS image
03105.1707Z and SSM/I fronm 15 Apr 2003.  Remainder area analyzed using same-OLS
image 03105.1707Z.
Summary: OLS:  85%  ESTIMATED:  15%

Greenland North: North of 75N and west of 12W analyzed through thin cloud cover,
using OLS image 03105.1707Z.  Remainder analyzed using same image-OLS 03105.1707Z.
Summary: OLS:  80%  ESTIMATED: 20%
