  • Dr.Canon speaks about Civil Rights movement Black History Month Interview

    On Wednesday, February 11, Fulbright professor Dr. Patrick Cannon was interviewed by Digital Congo, a private TV station in Kinshsa. The interview focused on the U.S. Civil Rights movement in the 1950s and 60s. This movement was the cornerstone for legislation prohibiting racial discrimination in the United States.

  • Ambassador Garvelink cuts inaugural ribbon Special Self-Help Fund Program-Clinique Kimbangu

    Friday, January 23rd, Ambassador and Mrs. Garvelink inaugurated one of the Embassy's twelve Special Self Help projects funded in 2008. Clinique Kimbangu received $5,500 to construct a small classroom where mothers and care givers can be trained in nutrition, hygiene and food preparation.
