Posted: Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:52 pm Post subject: New Leopard issue w/ MDIS2ISIS (SOLVED) |
|
|
I'm running MDIS2ISIS
I pick my image name
From=/Users/jeffreygillis-davis/Downloads/EN0108693445M.IMG
to=/Users/jeffreygillis-davis/Downloads/EN0108693445M
Target =mercury
The error I get is
I/O ERROR unable to open
/usgs/cpkgs/isis3/data/base/translations/pdsimage.trn
I found the pdsimage.trn file in my directory
/Applications/isis3/isis/data/base/translations/pdsimage.trn
My question is how do I change mdis2isis (or ISIS) to look in the correct directory?
Thanks,

Hi Jeff,
Something seems to be incorrect with the setup. Could you post the results of the command
printenv | grep ISIS
Thanks, Jeff |

Here is what I get
ISISROOT=/Applications/isis3/isis/
ISIS3DATA=/usgs/cpkgs/isis3/data
ISIS3TESTDATA=/usgs/cpkgs/isis3/testData _________________ Jeffrey Gillis gillis@higp.hawaii.edu

Hi Jeff,
If you look at $ISISROOT/scripts/isis3Startup.csh you will see the following code:
Code: |
# Initialize the ISIS3DATA environment variable
if (-d $ISISROOT/../data) then
setenv ISIS3DATA $ISISROOT/../data
else
setenv ISIS3DATA /usgs/cpkgs/isis3/data
endif |
ISISROOT is defined properly. However, ISIS3DATA did not get set properly. I'm wondering if this is a leopard issue or a shell issue. Unfortunately, it is not something I can test here since we lack a leopard platform.
A quick work around would be to add this line to your .cshrc file
setenv ISIS3DATA $ISISROOT/../data
Put this after the two lines you already added. If you find out what the problem is let us know. In the mean time, I'll see if we can get our hands on the MacOS 10.5
Thanks,
Jeff |

Jeff
I did what you said, but it didn't seem to work.
I did source my .cshrc and even restarted the terminal after I inserted that line after the two previous but I get the same error as before.
I did printenv ISIS3DATA and got the correct answer
/Applications/isis3/isis//../data
Hmmm? Can I change the code?

Hi Jeff,
Yes feel free to modify the startup script until you can get things working. You can replace the /usgs/cpkgs/isis3/data path with the correct path for your setup.
Let me know if that works.

Before I modified the startup script I rebooted and that seemed to have kicked in the fix you suggested with putting setenv ISIS3DATA $ISISROOT/../data in the .cshrc.
So problem solved (I don't know why sourcing and restarting terminal didn't kick in the fix).
THanks for your help Jeff,
