US Fish & Wildlife Service - Journal Entry San Andres NWR Public Outreach Region 2, October 1, 2005  During 2005, San Andres NWR volunteer Guy Powers has been promoting San Andres NWR and the NWRS system with the use of the NM Refuges Centennial trailer.  Guy has been displaying the trailer throughout southern NM  at various venues to get the word out about the NWRS system and New Mexico Refuges and our programs.  The trailer has been displayed at the Otero County Fair, Southern NM State Fair, Desert Expo in Las Cruces, Percha Dam State Park near Truth or Consequences and at RockHound State Park near Deming.  Approximately 9000 people have visited the trailer and viewed the many displays in the trailer during that time.  The trailer has definitely been a popular site and requests have been made to have the trailer available in the upcoming years.
