The American Embassy in Windhoek advises U.S. citizens to be cautious in relation to safety and security concerns throughout Zimbabwe due to ongoing political instability following the national elections.  We recommend deferral of all non-essential travel to Zimbabwe (including Victoria Falls) at this time.  American citizens considering travel to Zimbabwe should review the Department of State’s Travel Alert available at http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_3234.html.
