Thanks ever so much for your note of October 16th regarding the recollections I wrote out on the boat coming over. I think your suggestion of the ways in which some of the men were opposed to each other or completely out of sympathy is a good one, though 1 would certainly have to consult some of the records to know the precise issues, clear as the temperamental differences were to a casual obsemer. It will be fun to know some of the controversies as you saw them or heard them, for I am Sure they will throw additional light on the characters of the men and on the structure that the Foundation came to develop. I leave for Czechoslovakia in three or four days. The visit here has been very useful. I am site sure that action in favour of equipment for Holland will be extremely well received and wisely used. I do not how what it will be like in Czechoslovakia, but if the Czech institutions were robbed as thoroughly as the Dutch there will be a similar need there, for, as in Holland, the Czechs are way behind on the production of the doctors that the country needs. As ever, Mr.Raymond B. Foadick, The Rockefeller Foundation, 49 West 49th Street, New Pork 20.
