BERRY CONCERNED ABOUT TECO DECISION

Vows to Work with Energy Company to Save Arkansas Jobs
WASHINGTON, DC -- United States Representative Marion Berry (D-AR) today issued
the following statement in response to TECO's announcement that it would
temporarily suspend construction on its new plant in Dell:
"While I understand why TECO decided to temporarily suspend construction,
I am disappointed by this decision, because Mississippi County's struggling
economy needs those jobs. However, I am optimistic that the key word in
today's announcement is the word 'temporary'. I am hopeful that we can work
with them to put this project back on track and protect these good-paying
jobs in Northeast Arkansas," Berry said.
