PUBLICATIONS ON TECHNIQUES OF WATER-RESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS

The USGS publishes a series of manuals titled the "Techniques of Water-Resources Investigations" that describe procedures for planning and conducting specialized work in water-resources investigations. The material in these manuals is grouped under major subject headings called books and is further divided into sections and chapters. For example, section A of book 3 (Applications of Hydraulics) pertains to surface water. Each chapter then is limited to a narrow field of the section subject matter. This publication format permits flexibility when revision or printing is required.

Manuals in the Techniques of Water-Resources Investigations series, which are listed below, are available online at http://water.usgs.gov/pubs/twri. Printed copies are available for sale from the USGS, Information Services, Box 25286, Federal Center, Denver, Colorado 80225 (an authorized agent of the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office). Please telephone "1-888-ASK-USGS" for current prices, and refer to the title, book number, section number, chapter number, and mention the "U.S. Geological Survey Techniques of Water-Resources Investigations." Other products can be viewed online at http://www.usgs.gov/sales.htm, or ordered by telephone or by FAX to (303)236-4693. Order forms for FAX requests are available online at http://mac.usgs.gov/isb/pubs/forms/.
