Daily Debrief
From Paul Alivisatos, Interim Director
The HSS team is finishing data collection in the field today.
Next week their main task is to examine the data collected to determine trends, and roll up their observations to the higher levels that will be in their report. They may return to work locations if there are any questions raised that could be answered by additional field work. While their final report will not be issued for some time, we should begin to receive initial feedback from HSS next week about their observations. The HSS team will conclude this visit with a close-out meeting next Thursday.
The next few months will be a window of opportunity for the entire Lab to continue integrating safety into all aspects of our work, and to maintain the momentum we have acquired in preparing for the HSS review. We want the many improvements we have made, and those to come in the weeks and months ahead, to become a permanent part of our work and safety culture here at LBNL.
