***Details of the Outage:
*During rev 28899 on January 15, the cross strapping unit (XSU) on
NOAA-17 will be switched to the backup side. This should occur at
approximately 21:18z. There will be an outage of HRPT during the
contact while the transmitters are off. TIP will be configured to
beacon BTX#2, 137.77MHz. Users may also see a shift in the instrument
analog values as the XSU switch causes clocks to re-syncronize. This is
similar to what was observed on NOAA-16. HRPT should be commanded on
before loss of signal over the CDA. There will be a gap in the data of
approximately one major frame.
