   Brian Elliott Finley
C.L. Finley Corporation
  Hosted by Remy Evard

10:30 AM, August 5, 2002
Building 221,  Room A-216

Abstract Creating embedded Linux environments presents a number of interesting   challenges. This seminar will cover a number of these challenges as   encountered during the creation of the BOEL embedded Linux environment.  Mr. Finley will touch on the specialized purpose of BOEL, but will focus on the factors considered when designing solutions to each challenge discussed, the alternatives, and why the chosen solutions are considered superior. BOEL is currently used as the component of the cluster installation tool SystemImager that runs on compute nodes during the imaging process, but may be used as the foundation for diskless clusters in the near future.
