We are pleased that you have taken this opportunity to visit our web site. This site is part of our commitment to make your experience at the St. Louis VA Medical Center as personal and as individual as we can!

Please consider this site as an extension of our relationship with you as a member of our community, a veteran, a patient, or family member of one of our patients. The content has been organized so that you can easily find the information you need, and we have made it easy to reach us should you need more assistance.

While you are here, please take some time to set up your own on line profile in My HealtheVet. At My HealtheVet, you can read more about what interests you, as well as manage your prescriptions, appointments, and other medical information.

Since 1954, we have provided quality care to veterans of our community and surrounding areas. In 1970 the John Cochran Veterans Administration Hospital was consolidated with the Jefferson Barracks Veterans Administration Hospital. This consolidation was a major step in providing St. Louis area veterans coordinated, integrated health services. From surgery to diagnostics, fitness to rehabilitation, depend on us for care focused on America's heroes - focused on you!

Again, welcome to VAMC St. Louis, MO. Come back often!

Glen E. Struchtemeyer,
Medical Center Director
