Question - How are bricks tested?
---------------------------------------------------
It all depends upon what you are testing for. You could put a brick
in a press and crank up the pressure and measure how much pressure
is needed before the brick fails. On the other hand, you could grip
the ends of a brick and "pull on it" to see how much it will
elongate before it ruptures. Or you could clamp one end of the brick
and push on the other at right angles to see how much the brick will
bend. Any or all of these tests might be important depending upon
the intended use of the brick.
