ACCEPTED SITES have been accepted by the Siting Committee (Agnew, Webb, King). Some of these
sites may be rejected, or moved to backup, later on.
BACKUP SITES were accepted earlier, but are now backup because we found something better.
REJECTED SITES don't fit network plan, or proved unsuitable after being accepted earlier.

Below are sites rejected by the reconnaissance crews, the Siting Committee, or the EC.
The comments generally indicate which group rejected the site. The list of sites rejected
by recon crews is incomplete since recon procedures have changed since we began in the
summer of 1997. At first, the recon crews worked off lists and turned in field logs for
obviously unsuitable sites. Since we have these records, we include them in the list below.
Later, as we all gained experience, the recon crews submitted to the Siting Committee
only those sites that they regarded as suitable.
