Dunphy and Bobs Flat quads.

LEFT BANK-Exit I-80 at Dunphy and proceed east on Highway 40 (frontage road) for about 1 mile. Turn right on dirt road just before bridge over first railroad tracks. After passing under I-80, go south for about 2 miles. Monument is a USGS boundary marker on old post 30ft west of road. Post is about 1.5ft high and is just past where canal turns back toward railroad grade.

RIGHT BANK-Monument accessed through I-80 quarry at river. Follow Highway 40 past Dunphy to I-80 and park at locked gate. Cross small bridge. Walk southwest across gravel pit to Rose Canal. Follow canal road south for 1.3 miles and turn left at bridge near steep bluff. Monument is a fence post about 10ft up steep bank and directly east of dam structure.
