Brownback Visits Leavenworth Elementary School

TOPEKA, KS - U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback visited Eisenhower Elementary School in Leavenworth today in celebration of Kansas Day. The highlight of the visit was the school's presentation of a $4,000 check for the Pentagon Relief Fund. The money was raised by students and given to Brownback to present to the Pentagon on their behalf.

"This donation by the children of Eisenhower Elementary School is a terrific example of our young peoples' sense of charity and integrity," Brownback said. "The students dedicated their time and energy to help fellow Americans who have directly suffered from the attack on the Pentagon.

"I will proudly present this gift to the Pentagon Relief Fund for Eisenhower Elementary School," Brownback said.
