Welcome to the United States Probation Office for the Western District of TN.<br>Our office covers 22 counties in the western part of the Volunteer State. Our District shares its borders with the following: <li>Eastern Arkansas, Eastern Missouri, Western Kentucky, Northern Mississippi and Northern Alabama. Our headquarters in Memphis is located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. Our branch office is located in Jackson, TN, in a United States Courthouse which is listed on the National Historic Register. It is truly an exciting time to be part of the District Court. The changes that have occurred over the past 20 years are phenomenal. While automation has not changed our core job responsibilities of investigation and supervision, it has influenced the way we conduct those investigations and supervise our offenders. We cannot conceive of what the future will bring, but change is inevitable. Change brings opportunity -- opportunity to move forward in this 21st century.
