The Dedicated Loan Origination and Servicing System (DLOS) will provide better service to the hundreds of thousands rural Americans who depend on USDA for home loans. Because the system will provide better service to customers at a lower cost for taxpayers, Glickman will present an award to employees on behalf of Vice President Gore, who has made reinventing government one of his highest priorities. Glickman will be joined by Congressmen Richard Gephardt and Richard Durbin, St. Louis Mayor Freeman Bosley, Jr., and USDA Under Secretary for Rural Development Jill Long Thompson at the dedication on Friday, October 25 at the L. Douglas Abram federal building, 1520 Market Street, 4th Floor, Room 4242, in downtown St. Louis at 1:30 p.m. CDT. A tour of the Center's computer facility will follow the program. # NOTE: USDA news releases and media advisories are available on the Internet.
