Agrees that truck screening post is dangerous
I totally agree with Carl
Gilbert's letter about the truck screening post. Not only
should it be on the
north side of East Jemez Road but it should be east of Royal Crest
Trailer Park. Many of us have friends or family who live there,
and it is certainly dangerous for them to have the trucks pulling
back and forth across the road when they are on their way to work,
shop, home, etc. There also are school buses using that road twice
a day that don't need to be tangling with trucks pulling on and
off the road. Like it or not the Laboratory must take their safety
into consideration since the Atomic Energy Commission was the
one who developed that area. Everyone who uses roads in Los Alamos
County deserves to be as safe as possible. Currently the Laboratory
is treating the Royal Crest residents as second class citizens.
