Harp Trap
Harp Trap

This trap is designed to catch bats in flight without tangling their wings. Two parallel and offset rows of lines are strung vertically (like a harp). If a bat succeeds in avoiding the first row, it usually fails to miss the second offset row and tumbles uninjured into the canvas holding area below. The lines are thin enough to avoid most detection by a bat's echolocation system.
