6-7/96 Archeological Survey of Ninety-Six National Historic Site, including excavation of a Revolutionary War Period Cellar, archeological testing of the Goudey Village and Trading Post site, metal detector survey of Greene's Army Camp, determining site limits and mapping of an unmarked cemetery, and laser theodolite mapping of the park and features.

The sites at the park are the remains of a once extensive shell mound complex known as Shaw's Point (8Ma7), possibly dating from the Deptford period through the Safety Harbor periods.
