Confederated Tribes of Siletz

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz is a federally recognized confederation of 27 bands originally ranging from N. California to S. Washington. We occupy and manage a 3,666-acre reservation located in Lincoln County, Oregon. Resources managed include timber, water and fish. Achievement of Self Governance through congressional legislation occured in 1992. This allows our Tribe to compact directly with the U.S. Government, giving us control and accountability over tribal programs and funding. In November of 1977 the Confederated Tribes of Siletz was the second tribe in the U.S. and the first in Oregon to be restored to federal recognition.

Tribal services include

  • Culture & Youth Centers
  • Head Start & Housing programs
  • Alcohol & Drug Program
  • Anti-Domestic Violence Program
The Siletz Community Health Clinic opened in 1991. User population was 5,117 in 2004.

  • AAAHC accredited facility
  • A combination of direct care, contracted health service, and referral services
