DATASET HISTORY. cpcllfct.dat cpcllfcp.dat Feb. 16, 1999 Data were interpolated by the INTERGRAPH software. Borrowing rules were used for the non-favored categories such that as follows. Given a Probability P for most likely category in the above or below class: Set the opposite category = .6666-P for P. When P > .6333 then the opposite category is set to .033. Some minor variations exist due to interpolation. The INTERGRAPH hardware was removed in June, 1998 so the data record ends on for the forecast using data through May, 1998. Forecasts for Lead 1 were digitized manually through 1998. Feb. 15, 2000. The new data was added to the original probabilities obtained with Intergraph interpolation and borrowing rules. The original data ended with the forecast labeled 1998 month 4. The manually interpolated values were removed (the first lead from the datasets labeled 1998 month 5 through 1999 month 1) and replaced with the probabilities obtained from NTRANS interpolation and transformed-normal distribution integration to obtain non-favored categories. Feb. 16, 2000 The Precipitation forecasts were found to be in error for the new months (past those labeled 5/1999). Not yet corrected. March 13, 2000 Precipitation forecasts are corrected.
