Description/Abstract | A fairly wide class of classical solutions of the Euclidean two-dimensional Grassmannian and CP/sup N/-1 sigma models has been constructed explicitly and elementarily by the present author.^Starting from these classical solutions we derive the explicit forms of the Baecklund transformations following Harnad et al.^Properties of the Baecklund transformations for the Grassmannian models are discussed.^In particular, a simple interpretation of the Baecklund transformations for the CP/sup N/-1 model is obtained.^Generalization of these results to the noncompact Grassmannian sigma models is straightforward. |
