Morphology: Crustose to nearly foliose. Scattered, flattened granules. Tiny lobes are often found along the margins.
Color: Egg-yolk colored.
Reproductive Structures: The apothecia (disc shaped fruiting bodies) margins are often the same color as the disc and thallus (lichen body).
Habitat: Occurs on both acidic and calcareous rocks, bark and soil.
General information: Locally common. Only the thallus or only the apothecia can be seen in some specimens.
