SUBJECT:  Reopening of the Oklahoma State Office
 
     After the tragic bombing of the Murrah Federal Building, the
Oklahoma State Office began the arduous task of rebuilding its
records in order to begin providing customer service to the
public and industry.  Although the majority of employees returned
to work full-time in July 1995, it wasn't until December 4, 1995,
that both Single Family Asset Management and REO/Production
branches had sufficiently rebuilt records, libraries, and
supplies in order to officially open.  We greatly appreciate your
patience over the last eight months, and to those of you who have
expressed concern for the staff during this time, we thank you.
The Tulsa HUD Office has been very supportive during this period,
and we extend to them our warmest thanks for maintaining their
services to you while also serving the customers in their
jurisdiction.
