Summary
A multitude of products can be harvested from the forest. Some of them are
roundwood, such as industrial roundwood and fuelwood or firewood. Others are

Roundwood - Sections of tree stems, with or without bark. Included are
logs, bolts, pulpwood, posts, pilings, and other products still "in the round"

information from the provincial/territorial agencies responsible for forest
management and made its own estimates for private land information. As of 1990,
the National Forestry Database receives all the information from the
provincial/territorial and federal agencies responsible for forest ... management.
Only some details for Ontario private lands are estimated.

Christmas Trees - With the 1996-1997 survey, the National Forestry
Database dropped the breakdown by ownership.

Maple Products - The totals for maple products are compiled by
Statistics Canada. With the 1996-1997 survey, the National Forestry Database
dropped the breakdown by ownership.

It should be noted that the data presented for the Northwest Territories
includes statistical information for Nunavut, which was established on April 1,
1999.
