1. A zirconium-loaded fibrous adsorbent material having phosphoryl groups which is produced by first grafting a reactive monomer having phosphoryl groups onto a polymeric substrate and then loading zirconium, wherein the zirconium-loaded fibrous adsorbent material has a zirconium content in an amount of 4.0 or 4.2 mmol/g.
