A Commemorative Salute and Welcome from U.S. Ambassador to Kingdom of Thailand Eric G. John

175 Years of U.S. - Thai Relations

Welcome to the U.S. Embassy’s webpage dedicated to honoring 175 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Thailand.  This special occasion in our history allows us the opportunity to focus not only on current issues, but also to reflect on our long history as partners and friends.  The people of Thailand and the United States share a wide range interests and values, which provide a solid foundation for partnership in many areas.  As the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, I look forward to working with the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand on reinforcing this unique and enduring friendship over the days and years to come.

I welcome you again to this special site and encourage you to take a moment to explore all that it has to offer.

Eric G. John
Ambassador
