Participate in the Mars Gravity Assist Educator's Workshop in Multiple Locations on March 7, 2009!
The Dawn spacecraft flies by Mars in February, 2009. The spacecraft will execute special gravity assisted maneuvers to change the direction of the spacecraft into the correct orbital plane for encountering the object of its first intended destination, the asteroid Vesta!
Join Dawn scientists along with educators from around the country in a set of unique convergent workshops. Science and engineering teams will have a rare opportunity to calibrate the Dawn’s instruments at Mars and will be sharing key updates and information regarding Dawn’s mission with workshop participants. + Find out more
Educator workshops are located at four different locations*:
• Pasadena, CA
• Portland, OR
• Denver, CO
