Baugher (303) 231-3162 or Carter Cornick (202) 208-3983 MMS AWARDS $7.8 MILLION CONTRACT(#30045) The Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) announced today that a $7,809,577 contract extension has been awarded to American Management Systems Operations Corporation of Denver, Colorado. The extension is the exercise of the third-year option in a seven-year contract estimated to be worth nearly $54 million. American Management Systems Operations Corporation will operate and maintain the MMS's Royalty Management Program (RMP) computer systems in Denver, Colorado. They will also provide software development support for the RMP. "The award will assist the RMP in its mission to collect, account for, and disburse revenues associated with federal and Indian mineral leases," said MMS Director Tom Fry. MMS administers federal offshore mineral programs and manages the federal mineral royalty program, which generates about $4 billion in annual revenues. -MMS-
