Patience Island - Narragansett Bay, RI

 Flora (Plant Life)

Upland vegetation includes dense concentrations of tall shrubs interspersed with red cedar as overstory.

Dominant shrubs include bayberry, black cherry, highbush blueberry, shadbush, poison ivy and European bittersweet.

Deciduous forest is gradually replacing the shrub habitat in some parts of the island.
