Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 09/09/2003

   Compared to last week, steers 3.00-7.00 higher, some feather weight
steer calves under 350 lbs 8.00-10.00 higher.  Heifers 2.00-5.00 higher.
Supply moderate to heavy.  Demand very good to excellent, continuing best
on front-end quality, weaned and vaccinated calves and most any yearling.
A few cash fats reportedly trading in the 88.00-91.00 range Tuesday as
bullishness in the cattle trade rolls on. So up-up-up she goes, where she
stops nobody knows; How long will she hold is the question at hand, with
seemingly little attention as to where she might land.  Supply included
49 percent steers and 51 percednt heifers.  Near 35 percent of the run
weighed over 600 lbs.
