 -   Multifamily Business Partner Registration - All new business entities that have never done business with HUD must first establish an identity with HUD before signing up for any secure systems such as APPS. The data affects other systems such as the REAC Financial Assessment Sub System (FASS). The data is also used in HUD Integrated Real Estate Management System (IREMS). Registration errors will carry over to other systems, so accurate data is critical. Entities that are already known in the HUD secure systems do not need to sign up.

The Business Partner Registration HUD Multifamily page is accessible by anyone, without password or ID. It requires the initial input of a TIN or SSN , and then input of about 10 specific fields (name, address, zip, email, etc.). Each new business partner must have a unique TIN or SSN. Following completion and submission, the new entity is recorded as known to HUD systems. The process takes approximately 2 minutes to complete and between 1 and 24 hours before the HUD databases are updated.
