U.S. Marine Corps Commandant Visits Poland

The Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, General James T. Conway, visited Poland June 21-22. U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, welcomed General Conway to his first visit to Poland with a luncheon at the Ambassador's Residence. While in Poland, General Conway met with Polish Minister of Defense Aleksander Szczyglo and First Deputy Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Mieczyslaw Stachowiak to discuss U.S.-Polish military relations. General Conway also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Warsaw.
