January 17, 2007—Today, Rep. Trent Franks (AZ-02) voiced strong support for legislation introduced by Rep. Sam Johnson (TX-03) to ensure the Congress does not cut off or restrict funding for America’s warfighters deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Congressman Franks asserted, “If we allow terrorists to take over Iraq, we are subjecting Americans and the entire human family to inexpressible danger.  Democrats in Congress seem to be in denial of this fact, and for them to threaten to cut the funding for our warriors in the field, in this critical time of war, is unconscionable.”
