Income and financial disclosures.... litigation reports...references. I understand the need for an updated rule. However income and financial disclosures, income claim disclosures, litigation reports. Should NOT be included in the new rule. They are all personal information and are private. This is given to us by the constitution. Why would you want to begin a process that draws fine lines of destroying those rights and free enterprise along with it? These rules would TOTALLY prohibit the grand opening of any new business. Hence the destruction of any existing opportunity, regardless of age, integrity, type of direct selling organization. Seven day waiting period ...no, no, no... This issue is easily resolved with a reasonable cancellation policy. I have been in business for 1 yr. these proposed changes would seriously hamper my ability of success. Causing the death of my business...all I would be doing is paperwork and prying into peoples personal business... which in my opinion is relatively sacred. Currently I have a chance of being successful in my business and the ability to create a certain level of freedom for my famiIy and me. It will not be overnight and will take plenty of hard work if a direct selling opportunity is already following the guidelines listed by the FTC then the problems you are facing would already be non-existant. The root cause of the problem is not the current rules; it is the integrity and the willingness of an organization to mislead and misinform their newest representatives with empty promises. New ...Proposed... rules will not change Integrity and or truthfulness. It will result in more misleading information and false documentation. You have heard the addage.... locks, only keep the honest man honest... A quality, honest, high integrity direct selling opportunity already contains the necessary ingredients. It contains proper and ethical income explanations, Business support teams, support material return policies, and reasonable business cancellation policies. This is sufficient in my opinion, waiting periods and disclosures will only result in more problems and lost business. My business is powered by Quixtar and includes the above-mentioned vehicle for success in the direct selling business. It has a high efficiency engine, a superior ride, solid frame and a safe set of running gears, Its high speed, low drag, 8 ft tall and bullet proof...and I can leave it to my grand children!!!... With the highest of integrities, and should be used as the basis for your proposed rule no more and no less.... If you try to change it you will degrade efficiency, roughen the ride and damage the frame.........steal my ability to: help, develop and make available a option for creating income and building a business to be proud of ..........thank you for your considerations sincerely Curtis and Susan Zimmer
