I have had over 35 amalgam fillings in my 62 years.  I now test off the charts for mercury toxicity.  I have permanent liver damage.  I have spent many thousands of dollars removing the mercury amalgams and treatment for high levels of mercury and lead in my urine.  It is completely irresponsible of you and any dentist to still be using mercury in any way.  Please make sure you stop this contamination of your patients.  I can't even eat fish without the side effect of loss of energy and sluggishness.
