In the office the excess amalgam from the filling has to be stored in a sealed container under x-ray fixer which is an OSHA mandate and if not in compliance could result in a heavy fine. If that same scrap filling material is thrown in the trash the EPA will levy a heavy fine. If there should be a mercury spill, the office and maybe the building will have to be evacuated and the HAZMAT called to dispose of the toxic waste as required in schools and hospitals. It is ridiculous to believe that mercury fillings are safe when the same material outside the mouth is considered hazardous waste. I urge you to put politics aside and think of health of the public from the continued use of this toxic hazardous filling material. Respectfully yours, Robert L.
