Subject:   Children's Television

Please improve children's television.  As the parent of two sons
ages 4 1/2 and 8 1/2, our hours of being able to view TV is
greatly limited.  The quality of programming is greatly lacking
and what is considered appropriate by the networks is not
appropriate in our household.

I find this who issue really pitiful.  It is our future (our
children) we are discussing.  And why the networks continue to
shoot themselves in the foot
(poor programming equals no viewing; therefore no advertising
reaching us) is beyond me.  We stay tuned to PBS TV for
"Wishbone", "Sesame Street", "Carmen
Sandiego" and various shows about nature.  We're also fond of
"Bill Nye, The
Science Guy".  My children learn by watching and the discussions
that follow are invaluable.

Please consider stricter controls.  Thank you.
