Subject: GE consumer concerns

To whom it may concern (as this concerns me greatly),
   I am an american citizen whom is greatly concerned about all the news 
I've heard and programs I've seen on the television about the state of our 
food. On 60 minutes, for example, there were proponets of genetically 
modified food from Monsanto saying how people in this country aren't 
opposing it, as well as touting it, etc. The program also showed how people 
in England are practically rioting against it, as well as in other countries 
like France. Well, the people in this country may be less informed, more 
apathetic and less joined but it doesn't mean that it is okay that there are 
such high percentages of genetically engineered foods without any indication 
that they are, sitting on the shelves across this nation. That there is no 
labeling of GE foods shows a blatant disrespect and no concern for 
consumers. The people of this country are being treated like idiots by such 
companies as Monsanto and the FDA. It's time that we are heard: mandatory 
labeling, testing for long term effect on health and enviroment. From,
